its been a very long time since my last post, courtesy to my work, and getting busy for settling my new home. so now i am back with my own computer this time with ease of accessing internet at home itself.
what catched my attension recently is the picture of "Jagnnath Rath Yatra". Indian would not need much effort to get the meaning but for those who dont know, Jagnnath is the name of krishna, a popular hindu god, which means god of universe. in honour of god, a festival is organised in Puri, a city in eastern india, where a chariot having god's idol inside is took on the street. this cahriot is pulled by thousand of people. this festival comes annually in month of july. and this rath yatra is organised in many other indian cities also.
so the picture i seen is not from indian but from Newyork, these picture shows the journey of culture. many indian living in USA and some American also takes part in it and as dance and devotional music involved, its not difficult to loose urself and enjoy the spritual parade on the street.
